Evelyn Giovanni:
After last night, that one last horrible fight with my parents, I needed to leave. I needed to get out of that terrible so-called “home”. Even if I weren’t kicked out, I would have left by choice soon enough, but hey, I guess my parents couldn’t stand me being there any longer than I could stand being there. So, good-bye small town in Massachusetts, and hello New York City.
Moving to New York City has been a dream of mine ever since I can remember. The Broadway shows, the Statue of Liberty, the Jazz music, and of course, the opportunity. What’s not to love? Besides, the move from Massachusetts to New York City isn’t horribly long, and I don’t have much to lug along with me anyways. I plan to hitch-hike all 189.90 miles there.
I’ll be leaving tonight. Knowing my parents, my things will already be packed for me and outside of the house, not giving me much time to say what I have to before I leave.
